RecurDyn Simulation of Bowling Ball

RecurDyn was used to simulate a bowling ball rolling down the lane and striking the pins at the end. Notice that the ball’s trajectory and rotational axis change as it rolls over the darker part of the lane, which has a higher coefficient of friction with the ball. The contact model used here was RecurDyn’s Solid Contact, which is easily set up by simply selecting the two solid bodies that will interact.
